Ongoing Benefits of God’s Acquittal of Sinners

Bible Passage: Romans 5:9-21

I. Ongoing benefits:

1. Salvation from God’s wrath (5:9)
2. New life in Christ
a. The consequence of Adam’s sin is reversed (verses 12-15)
b. The benefits of Jesus’ obedience are passed on to the believers
i. Grace (verse 15)
ii. Righteousness (verse 19)
iii. Eternal life (verse 23)
c. Jesus becomes the head of the new race (by replacing Adam’s race)

Take Away:

Give your life voluntarily for the purpose of bringing pleasure to God (12:1)
