Pastor Benjamin Stephen, Bangalore, India

Benjamin Stephen worked in biotech companies like Biocon, Reliance Life Sciences, and Biological E. After his MDiv studies from SAIACS, Benji served the Crossroad Church for four years as its Executive Pastor. From their seminary days, Benji and his wife, Rashmi, felt that the Lord was preparing them to plant a “Gospel-Centered, Missional” church in Jayanagar in south Bangalore, their home town. While serving the Lord through the Crossroad Church in north Bangalore, they continued to nurture their desire to plant a church in south Bangalore. As a first step, Benji and Rashmi started a coffee shop—“Crossroad Café,” in May 2016 and began to meet a small core-group of believers from June 2016. After almost a year of outreach and Bible study, they felt that they needed to move their residence to Jayanagar from their present place so that they will be able to focus completely on the church plant. When their desire was communicated to the elder board of the Crossroad Church, the elders decided to commission Benji and Rashmi by the end of May 2017. God willing, they will launch “Crossroad South” by the “middle-end” of 2017. Benji and Rashmi have two children: Gabriel (7 years) and Jessica (4 years). Their email:
