Empowerment of the Church and it’s Believers

Bible Passage: Ephesians 3:14-4:1

I. The Father might empower the church and its believers through the Holy Spirit (verse 16)

1. So that they might become more like the one who is indwelling in them—Christ (verses 16-17)
2. So that such empowering and indwelling might result in believers living in love as new humanity, family, nation, and temple (verse 17)

II. The Father might empower the church and its believers with the knowledge of the love of Christ (verse 18)

III. With the result that the church and its believers will be filled with the fullness of God (verse 19)—Participation in divinity

1. Presence and power of God
2. His life and rule

The Father along with His Son and the Holy Spirit is able to bless the church and its believers beyond their prayers and desires (verses 20-21)
