I. Highlights of God’s blessings and promises to David

1. God took David to be His servant from a pasture (verse 7)
2. God appointed him to be the king of His people (verse 7)
3. God accompanied David wherever he went (verse 8)
4. God gave David victory over his enemies (verse 8)
5. God promised a house for David himself (verse 10)
6. God promised descendants to David (verse 11)

II. David’s Response to God

1. Humility (verse 16-19)

a. Neither I nor anyone in my family deserve anything you have done (verse 16)
b. Feeling unworthy (verse 17)
c. Being amazed at what God has already done and at what God has promised for the future (verses 17-19)
d. Inadequacy, speechless, lack of words (verse 18)
e. Acknowledging God’s fingerprint behind everything (verse 19)
